By car

The main roads have been for a long time the old Via Aurelia and Via Emilia, along the Tyrrhenian coast and towards the Po inland; nowadays the A12 and A15 highways link the town to the Italian and the European road network.

By ferry

During the long spring and summer seasons, there are daily ferries from La Spezia to the Gulf villages, Versilia and Cinque Terre.

By plane

The highways A12 and A15 allow quick connections between La Spezia and the following airports: Galileo Galilei Airport at Pisa - highway A12, in the direction of La Spezia-Genoa, about 80 km. Cristoforo Colombo Airport at Genoa - highway A12, in the direction of Livorno-La Spezia, about 100 km. Linate Airport at Milan - highway A15, in the direction of La Spezia, about 250 km.
